Asgent Receives “Partner Excellence Award” at HP APJ WorldCup 2009

Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces receiving the “Partner Excellence Award” at the “HP APJ WorldCup 2009”, held in December 2009 in Guangzhou, China.

【Partner Excellence Award】

The HP APJ WorldCup 2009 is an event to which Hewlett Packard (below, HP) sales representatives, presales engineers and sales partners are invited to learn more about the HP software portfolio, product details and effective deployment methods etc. The event was held in Guangzhou, China from December 6 to 9, 2009.
Asgent was presented with the “Partner Excellence Award” at the event award ceremony. This award recognizes those partners who

1. Achieve greater than 50% growth rate over the previous year in the midst of a Japanese economic depression and
2. Make early positive investment get business off the ground in the data center automation market, which is the market that HP expects to show the greatest growth in the future.

Moreover, Asgent was the sole Japanese partner to receive an award at the event.

Asgent will continue to proactively promote solutions for the data center automation market, alongside selling HP operations management solutions.

Asgent is Japan’s leading distributor of the server monitoring tool “HP SiteScope software”. SiteScope is an agentless monitoring tool that performs real-time monitoring of networks, applications etc. and is currently deployed in hundreds of corporations and datacenters thanks to support for VMware virtual environments. With an increasing focus on operational “visibility”, monitoring requirements have become more complicated and to support these needs, Asgent announced the start of sales for “HP Operations Manager” (integrated console) and “HP Network Node Manager” (network monitoring tool) in 2009. Also, Asgent announced a cooperation agreement with HP Japan in October 2009 to start sales of “HP Data Center Automation Center” and perform high-level consulting services based on ITIL in the data center automation market, enabling Asgent to provide a full suite of services including consulting, solution development and maintenance support to fulfill customers’ data center automation needs.
