(President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, today announces the signing of a distributor agreement with RSA Security Japan Ltd. (President: Osamu Yamano, located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) to start sales of the “RSA enVision” Integrated Log Management appliance.

【The need for Integrated Log Management】

Presently, many organizations collect and accumulate logs from many different systems and devices to ensure that compliance requirements are met and personal information is protected. However, although many organizations collect and store logs in this way, very few utilize them for security purposes. The reasons for this are in the issues inherent in log management below.

Log files are scattered across the network, making it very difficult for users to access the necessary information when needed
Log file formats vary depending on the device, so crossover searches and collation cannot be carried out
Organizations don’t have systems in place to archive ever expanding daily logs for long periods of time

With this background in mind, Asgent announces the start of sales for “RSA enVision", an Integrated Log Management appliance from RSA Security, that boasts superior log format support and cost performance.
“RSA enVision” is a log management appliance capable of collecting approximately 200 different log types without the need for a software agent, compressing and storing with no modification to the original data, and is also No.1（*） in the Integrated Log Management market. The entire product is included within the appliance, making it extremely easy to deploy, and setting it apart from competitor products. Also, it is possible to filter incidents across multiple systems that match specific conditions, using standard correlation rules or independent rules created by the user. This makes it possible for the user to respond quickly to critical incidents.
Moreover, reports for security incidents, various legal and industry compliance regulations can be easily and automatically created using over 1400 report templates. Storage of daily expanding logs, previously an issue for log management can be achieved using the internal hard disk by highly compressing the log files (maximum 1/20). It is also possible to use standard external storage for long term archiving.

【Asgent's Role】

Asgent will utilize the knowhow gathered over many years as a distributor of Check Point security gateway products and firewall log analysis tools to provide a “one step” solution for “RSA enVision” including consultation, integration services, product sales and maintenance to system integrators and our many other partners. This will make it possible for partners without extensive knowledge of “RSA enVision” to feel comfortable in promoting the product to their customers as in Integrated Log Management solution. Asgent will sell “RSA enVision” strictly through partners, with no direct sales.
Asgent will also begin providing a log correlation analysis service, utilizing knowhow gained through many years of security consulting. Large enterprises with varied optimized devices located throughout their network can use this service to easily and organically raise their corporate-wide security level.
