Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces the start of sales of the UTM appliance “UTM-1” from Check Point Software Technologies (Japan) Ltd. (President: Takahiro Sugiyama, located in Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) at a new price to small and medium sized enterprises, as well as a sales support-focused configuration service.

The security gateway IP Appliance product from Check Point already has overwhelming support in the large enterprise market. The reasons for this lay in the IP Appliance possessing the most secure firewall functionality in the industry, superior flexibility and scalability, high performance and many years of deployment in complex and demanding networks.
  However, with regards to SMB and regional office use, the reality is that there are many barriers such as high costs compared with competitor products or an image that deployment, configuration and management are difficult to perform that prevent many customers who would otherwise want to use a highly functional firewall from purchasing.

With this in mind, Asgent announces the start of sales at a new affordable price of the UTM Appliance “UTM-1”, with industry-leading Check Point VPN-1 software, for medium and small use customers in SMB and regional offices. “UTM-1” is an all-in-one package with Firewall, IPS, Antivirus and URL Filtering functionality among others. Competitive pricing will allow enterprise customers who would not otherwise have been able to procure the necessary purchasing budget to deploy at low cost. Asgent will also provide the following services to support sales partners in order that they feel comfortable and secure in promoting and selling UTM-1 products.
