Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, was awarded “Distributor of the Year 2011” for the 9th time by Check Point Software Technologies (Japan) Ltd. (President: Ken Fujioka, located in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) at the Check Point Partner Kick Off Seminar 2012 held on February 16.

Asgent was awarded the “Distributor of the Year 2011” by having the highest sales for 2011. This is the 9th time Asgent has received this award from Check Point, and it is the 5th straight time to receive an award following the “Best Solution Partner” award received in 2007.

Check Point is a leader in the internet security market, providing comprehensive security solutions covering all fields from the gateway to endpoint security, such as appliance products including the “2012 Appliance Series”, which provides advanced multi-core and high-speed network capabilities alongside the next generation firewall “Check Point R75”, as well as “Check Point GO”, a USB device that provides a secure virtual Windows desktop environment for both remote office workspaces and as a BCP provision.

From inception, Asgent has worked to provide enhanced technical training for sales partners and 24/7 onsite maintenance support alongside sales of Check Point products. In the last year, Asgent has developed new managed services to provide a total solution for Check Point UTM-1 appliances, covering all facets from provision of the appliance to operations management.

Asgent will continue to strengthen sales activities while providing many varied services including consulting and integration services, based on the technical knowledge, sales channels and knowhow gained from many years selling and supporting Check Point products.
