Asgent Receives “Best Distribution Partner 2014-2015” Award for Largest Contribution to Distribution of Check Point Products

Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, received the “Best Distribution Partner 2014-2015” award from Check Point Software Technologies (Japan) Ltd. (President: Peter Hallett, located in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) at the “Check Point Partner Day 2015” held on December 16, 2015.

Asgent was given this award as a result of distributing the largest amount of Check Point products in 2014 and 2015, and also contributing to Check Point sales by providing maintenance support and services for products with new functionality. This is the eighth straight time Asgent has received this award since 2007, and the twelfth in total.

Check Point Japan President Peter Hallett made the following comment when presenting Asgent with the award. “Check Point is pleased to have a partner such as Asgent who has put so much effort into selling Check Point products over the years. Facing unrelenting cyber-attacks including targeted attacks, security measures are now more important than ever for organizations. We will continue not only our sales effort in concert with Asgent but also various activities becoming of a technology leader, including security education and awareness building.”

From inception, Asgent has worked, as a Check Point distributor, to lead the market in providing enhanced support and technical services including integration services and 24/7 onsite maintenance support alongside sales of Check Point products. In recent years, with an increase in customers who want to improve their security stance but do not have dedicated security personnel or who wish to perform security operations without putting burden on their corporate resources, Asgent is proactively expanding services such as the “SecurityPlus Managed Security Service” to perform 24/7 operational monitoring of Check Point UTM products and provide the end user with both a detailed report of any security incident, as well as “Check Point CheckUp” to diagnose at no charge if the network is receiving any security breaches.

Asgent will continue to positively strengthen and expand sales of Check Point products, along with strengthening maintenance and integrations services etc.
