Karamba Security, Asgent’s Connected Car/IoT Device Security Partner to Present at the Auto-ISAC Annual Summit

"The Auto-ISAC annual summit "Start Your Engines Conference" (https://summit.automotiveisac.com/) will be held for two days, on December 13^th and 14^th in Dearborn, Michigan, and there will be speakers from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Homeland Defense (DHS) amongst cyber-security experts on the automotive industry.

Karamba will present and demo its market-leading capability to block hacking attempts with zero false positives and produce forensics data that is critical to security bug remediation by vendors who are not deploying Karamba´s Autonomous Security in their cars. "When Karamba´s software prevents a hacker´s exploit, it sees the attempt and reports on the blocked vulnerabilities. When shared with Auto-ISAC subscribers, the industry can use these threat alerts and forensics data to remediate security bugs in cars that are not protected by Karamba´s software," said Ami Dotan.
  The data that is shared with Auto-ISAC members provides a fleet-view on forensic data, prevention methods and attack methodology for vulnerabilities that were prevented by Karamba. Auto-ISAC is devoted to strengthening recognition and collaboration on cyber-security in the automotive industry. Karamba´s Autonomous Security is the key for Auto-ISAC members to secure consumer safety by preventing attacks without false positives. Heuristic based security leads to false positives. Because one false positive can result in a loss in life, it is not sufficient to only reduce the number false positives to the lowest possible number. In Ami Dotan’s presentation, he will explain how to strengthen vehicle ECUs based on factory settings in order to overcome these issues and block deviations in commands as a result of hacking.
