[2018 Best Automotive Cybersecurity Solution Award]
The Tech CAR Awards presented by AUTO Connected CAR News *2 is a people’s choice award voted on by industry leaders as a means to recognize innovators who are working to make driving safer, more secure, easier and overall less worrisome. SafeCAN from Karamba Security was recognized with an overwhelming 47% of the vote and awarded the 2018 Best Automotive Cybersecurity Solution Award for its ability to address intrusive cyberattack threats posed by in-car network hacking through the CAN bus, OTA updates and illegal access from third party dongles.

Karamba Security CEO, Ami Dotan, made the following comment on receiving this award.

"We are honored to be recognized by AUTO Connected Car News in the category of Cybersecurity Best Product. We continually respond to the industry demands of carmakers and this award is a further indication that we are listening and solving real market problems. We are proud to be among the best in our industry and to have the vote of confidence that our solutions meet and exceed the necessary measures to keep cyberattacks out of in-vehicle safety systems. We strive to achieve safety above all through automotive cyber security best practices and this award solidifies our efforts to promote the best automobile safety experience and ultimately guarantee a better driving experience for all."

[SafeCAN]
SafeCAN is security software that strengthens and authenticates in-car networks without any overhead to protect command communications between ECUs. Until SafeCAN was released, there was no way to authenticate in-car communications to protect from malicious messages being sent from third party dongles or unauthorized ECUs. Without in-car authentication, the ECU is exposed to vulnerabilities in the cars safety system, allowing for cyber-attacks or malicious OTA updates. SafeCAN creates zero false positives or network overhead, and reduces the risk of loss of life by providing end-to-end network security. Also, in addition to protecting from physical attacks, it also enables secure OTA updates from the cloud to various ECUs in the vehicle system. The strengthened network denies change requests or authentication to the ECU, preventing cyber-attacks utilizing OTA over secure channels to the primary vehicle ECU and eventually the in-car safety systems.

[Karamba Security]
Karamba Security provides industry-leading cybersecurity solutions for connected and autonomous vehicles. It's SafeCAN and Carwall software provide end-to-end in-vehicle security by authenticating communications, including OTA updates, with zero network overhead and by hardening the car's safety ECUs from attempts to manipulate or compromise their commands and hack into the car. Together, the products prevent cyberattacks with zero false positives, no connectivity requirements and negligible performance impact. Karamba Security has engagements with 16 OEM and Tier-1 providers, and has received $17 million in three rounds of funding over a one year period. The company has been recognized in 2017 with TU-Automotive's Best Cybersecurity Product/Service and the North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Automotive New Product Innovation.

Asgent will continue to sell with Karamba Security to car manufacturers, but will also sell consultation services to related manufacturers and OS providers, IoT vendors etc.
