Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces that Karamba Security Ltd. (CEO & Co-founder: Ami Dotan, located in Israel), the developer of "Carwall", a security product being sold to automotive makers (OEM) and peripheral suppliers (Tier 1, 2) in Japan, will co-announce the results of a pilot project with Densor at the SAE World Congress Experience.

The SAE World Congress Experience is an automotive technical fair held by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). It will be held from April 10-12 at the Cobo Center in Michigan, US.
Karamba Security and Denso will give a presentation titled "Mitigating Unknown Cybersecurity Threats in Performance Constrained Electronic Control Units" as the second part of "AE202 Cybersecurity for Cyber-Physical Vehicle Systems" (April 10, 15:00-).
In this presentation, Dr. Gopalakrishnan Iyer, Dr. Ameer Kashani, Motonori Ando and Masumi Egawa from Denso, along with Assaf Harel and Tal Ben David from Karamba Security will give a synopsis of an industry paper they co-wrote. Also, Karamba Security will present how the joint pilot overcame shortcomings of traditional automotive cybersecurity solutions including zero-day protection and threat prevention in real time while meeting native ECU constraints such as intermittent connectivity and low tolerance to performance impact.

Karamba Security co-founder and Chief Scientist, Assaf Harel, made the following comment regarding the presentation. "Car ECUs comprised of millions of lines of code, which might include security vulnerabilities that affect consumer safety, once exploited. We are thrilled to present the results and performance impact analysis of a joint pilot with DENSO that demonstrates how Karamba Security software mitigates cyber threats, by automatically hardening ECUs according to factory settings."

Karamba´s autonomous security products "Carwall" and "IoTwall" are security solutions to prevent cyber-attacks against connected cars and IoT devices. Security settings and built into the ECU during manufacture. This allows for attacks to be prevented without the need for anti-malware signature updates. Also, the factory settings and automatically learnt and a security policy to detect anomalous behavior and prevent it is automatically created. This enables protected products to be provided with real-time zero day protect across their entire lifecycle. Also, this security functionality is not limited to just the automotive industry, with the ability to apply it to architecture controlled by controllers in IoT, medical devices and drones. The superiority of this product concept has led to the technology gaining a lot of attention, having been awarded the Best Practices Award for automotive new product innovation and being selected as a Forbes Israel 2016 Top10 Security Venture.
