Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces that the connected car security partner Karamba Security Ltd. (CEO & Co-founder: Ami Dotan) , the developer of the security product "Carwall" for which Asgent distributes to Japanese companies including automakers and peripheral suppliers, has announced that it will sign a partnership with Phantom Auto, the developer of teleoperation systems for autonomous vehicles.
Through this partnership, Karamba and Phantom Auto will show their integrated solution of the ECU security solution "Carwall" and the teleoperation security solution for autonomous vehicles at TU-Automotive Detroit (Booth B143), to held in Detroit, Michigan on June 6-7.

Phantom Auto (CEO & CO-founder: Shai Magzimof, located in California) provides low latency vehicle communication software, an API for real-time support and teleoperation services in case an autonomous vehicle is no longer able to drive itself.

Phantom Auto CEO, Shai Magzimof, made the following comment regarding this partnership. "Our customers integrate our teleoperation technology into their AVs to ensure the testing and deployment of AVs is optimally safe, and we believe that safety and security are inextricably linked," said Shai Magzimof, Phantom Auto’s CEO. "Driverless AVs using Phantom Auto’s teleoperation technology will have a highly-trained human in the loop who can safely drive the AV when it cannot safely operate on its own. But we have to ensure that the technology enabling this function is secure. Karamba’s Carwall solution prevents attacks targeting AVs and provides Phantom Auto and our fleet customers with the security needed to ensure optimal safety."

Karamba CEO & Co-founder, Ami Dotan, also made the following comment. "Without 360-degree security and reliability, consumers are less inclined to put their trust in autonomous cars. By partnering with Phantom Auto, we can provide a truly safe and secure experience to AV passengers and allow the automotive industry realize the potential of this transformative innovation."
