Asgent Starts Provision of "Arxan for Android", Industry First Mobile Application Hardening Solution to Support Android Development Language Kotlin

  Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces the start of provisions for "Arxan for Android", the mobile application cracking security solution that supports Android development language Kotlin, from Arxan Technologies, Inc. (CEO: Joe Sander, located in the US), to whom Asgent is a strategic distributor.

[Rapidly growing development language Kotlin]
  At the developers conference Google I/O 2017, it was announced that Kotlin would be added as a programming language for Android application development. Kotlin, which incorporate smoothly with Java that had been the primary development platform for Android, has rapidly expanded its market share. Therefore, Android application development houses had been waiting impatiently for an application hardening solution to prevent cracking and provide security applications to users.

  Arxan, which already provides anticracking solutions for mobile applications that are widely distributed, such as those for mobile payments and connected cars, is the first in the application hardening solution industry to support the Android development language "Kotlin". By doing so, it is now possible to protect companies from brand damage, negative effects on revenue, theft of IP and compliance penalties as a result of reverse engineering and tampering, regardless of whether the Android application is developed in Kotlin or Java.
