- Providing SaaS in Addition to On-Premise -

February 27, 2019
Asgent, Inc.
(JASDAQ: 4288)

Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces the start of a corporate-focused SaaS service from March 1st for the next generation endpoint anti-malware solution "Deep Instinct" (Developed by DEEP INSTINCT, Ltd., located in Israel, CEO: Guy Caspi).

[Deep Instinct]
Deep Instinct is an NGEPP (Next Generation Endpoint Protection) product that detects and prevents threats before damage occurs through deep learning utilizing a neural network. Millions of malware samples in various file types are repeatedly learnt through deep learning, which enables the product to detect and block them at the endpoint before the malware is executed. Accuracy is dramatically increased by adopting deep learning as a learning algorithm, and false positives that had been an issue for previous next generation endpoint solutions are minimized. Also, in addition to using the Deep Instinct management module as a standalone solution, it is able to coexist with traditional (signature based) endpoint products without conflict. By this, it is possible to realize multilayer protection on the endpoint.

[SaaS Service]
The Deep Instinct SaaS service is to be provided to organizations that previously considered endpoint security to be an option but that the implementation and operations would be too much of a burden or those that do not know how to handle an unknown threat such as a targeted attack when it is detected. Deep Instinct has strong malware analysis functionality such as malware classification functionality and a sandbox etc. on board, there is no need to prepare a management server, and updates that previously would have been required several times a year can be cut down to just once a year, comprehensively reducing security costs.
Sales of the SaaS service will begin on March 1st, and while it is open priced, the reference price for 100 endpoints is 12,600JPY (tax excl.) per endpoint per year, and Asgent expects sales of 10,000 licenses in the first year.

[Managed Services by Resellers]
The SaaS service has various management functionalities for operating managed services. Windows, macOS, Android and various devices can be uniformly managed, and with support for major SIEM products, and free apps, security logs can be easily imported and visualized, enabling monitoring services integrated with the SOC team to be provided to customers.
