  Karamba Security (CEO & Co-founder: Ami Dotan, located in Israel), IoT and connected car security partner of Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), focused on providing network security solutions, announced the signing of a production agreement of its XGuard runtime integrity software, with SolarEdge Technologies Inc. (CEO and VP Global Sales: Zvi Lando, located in Israel), a global leader in smart energy.

  IoT is becoming more and more popular in the electric power industry, with IT being utilized and assets being connected to the network for solving the challenges such as optimizing capital investments and operations and controlling the grid. With the assets now being connected to the network, measures need to be taken against cyberattacks.

[SolarEdge and ＸGuard]

To provide superior self-protection, SolarEdge will embed Karamba Security’s XGuard software into its products. Once embedded in SolarEdge’s products, XGuard software continuously and automatically conduct runtime integrity checks. If XGuard software detects a deviation from factory settings (i.e. a hacking attempt), it will prevent and report the deviation to the SolarEdge management cloud.
