  Qualitia Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Ken Matsuda, hereinafter " Qualitia ") announced that it began linking e-mail sanitization Active! zone with VOTIRO Disarmer (Developer: Votiro,Inc.) which is a file sanitization solution sold by Asgent, Inc., which is primarily responsible for providing network security services (Address: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Takahiro Sugimoto, hereinafter "Asgent"), on April 22, 2021.

Active! zone, which is useful for dealing with targeted mail attacks that are used as a way of intruding networks from outside maliciously, implements a variety of sanitization measures, including anti-spam and anti-virus, as well as the ability to sanitizing attachments, HTML e-mail, text-translation, and URL-character harmlessness. On the other hand, VOTIRO Disarmer, which is sold by Asgent, is a solution that emphasizes the "possibilities" that a file may contain malware and sanitizes any incoming file .

With this linkage, in addition to eliminating macros executed by Microsoft Office systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDFs in Active! zone, all the supported files, whether malicious or not, are made harmless in a recursive and highly original manner using VOTIRO Disarmer's Positive Selection technology (the newest technology that further evolved the CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction) technology). In the password file, you can sanitize it with VOTIRO after extracting it from the attachment separation screen of "Active! zone" and prior to downloading it. It also protects against unknown attacks that do not have a signature, and also frees them from pattern updates and false positives.

By harmlessening all malware hidden in files brought from outside the organization, financial companies that require network isolation and local governments can "disassemble the file, remove the risk factor, and then reconstruct the file and restore it to the same file format as before decomposition" as specified in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, thus preventing information leakage due to sophisticated targeted mail attacks.
