VOTIRO Disarmer selected as Content Disarm and Reconstruction provider by LGTalk, an LGWAN-compatible business chat for local authorities.

  VOTIRO Disarmer, a Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) solution being sold by Asgent, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO Takahiro Sugimoto; "Asgent") was selected by Shift Plus Inc. (Osaka Japan; President Yuya Nakao; "Shift Plus") to sanitize files sent and received on Shift Plus’ LGTalk, an LGWAN-compatible business chat service for local authorities.

   LGTalk is an LGWAN-compatible communication tool developed by Shift Plus, which company develops systems and provides outsourcing and consulting services related to Hometown Tax. It is compatible with both LGWAN and the Internet, and users can converse just like general chat tools. LGTalk did not have a content disarm feature at the time of its development. However, Shift Plus decided to implement CDR and decided to use VOTIRO Disarmer, considering that files need to be sanitized when they are brought from the Internet to LGWAN by local governments.

   Thus, a CDR capability using VOTIRO Disarmer was added to LGTalk in April 2023, enabling users to send and receive files across the Internet and LGWAN and seamlessly exchange documents and other files over the chat. It has been highly acclaimed by users, being called “the most amazing update to date”.
   Mr. Sugitani, a director at Shift Plus, says about the local government's reaction, “When it comes to sending files from outside the LGWAN and receiving them within the LGWAN, this has been possible by using Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) software separately. However, the impact of being able to do this on the user’s familiar chat screen seems to have been significant, and the system has been very well received. We have not received any quantitative data, but we are sure that the efficiency has been improved significantly.”
   As of July 2023, LGTalk has been adopted by over 350 organizations (municipalities and organizations), including government-designated cities.
