Asgent,Inc.
(OTC No. 4288)
Asgent, Inc., a market leader in providing security solutions, announces that all models of its next generation IP telephone appliance, the Applico SIP RTC Switch, support Microsoft's "Office Live Communications Server2003R", allowing high quality audio, video and application communications.
Microsoft's "Live Communications Server2003" is an instant messaging solution that combines enterprise instant messaging, audio communications and video conferencing. Using "Presence" information, which shows the other party's current status, it is possible to tell at a glance whether a member is online or not, enabling effective communication with each party. SIP and SIMPLE protocols are also supported.
At the same time, Asgent's Applico SIP RTC Switch does away with any concerns regarding voice quality and security when using VoIP (Voice over IP) on the Internet, while Real Time Communication (RTC) such as video, applications and presence information are supported thanks to multistreaming technology. Also, n:n NAT traversal which previous firewall equipment was unable to support is now available as is the ability to control the default SIP port (5060).
The Applico SIP RTC Switch leads other manufacturers in being the first product to make NAT traversal with the "Live Communications Server2003" possible, making multiple-point audio and video communication possible, something that had only previously been achieved in a local environment. Due to this, communication using the "Live Communications Server2003" is now possible between affiliated companies, rather than merely internally within the company. Also, with the use of Windows Messenger 5.0, it is possible to transmit high quality audio, video and applications at low cost.
Support of the "Live Communications Server2003" on all Applico SIP RTC Switch series means not only a cut in communication costs by replacing traditional telephone systems, but connecting to the "Live Communications Server2003" provides you with a brand-new business model utilizing various applications.
