August 24, 2005
Asgent,Inc.
Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro (Shuji) Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in security solutions, today announces the start of the “(ISC)2 CISSP 10 Domain Review Seminar”, an educational program for security professionals wishing to obtain the (ISC)2*1 sponsored CISSP*1 (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) qualification.
■ Background
With the ever present threat of personal information leaks, worm attacks, unauthorized access, security practices and implementation are more important than ever to companies and organizations. Therefore, it is no longer acceptable for security managers to be able to configure a firewall; they need the ability to handle anything from creating company-wide security policies to implementing security systems. Those abilities must also cover a wide range of topics from information security management to physical security, internet security, business continuity in the case of disasters and preservation of evidence in case of legal action. CISSP is the only industry standard certification in both the US and Europe that covers all of these aspects.
Asgent has previously successfully conducted various information security training courses including the “ISMS Adjudicator/BS7799 Lead Auditor Course”, “Personal Information Protection and Management Implementation Course” and the “BS15000 Training Course” in cooperation with BSI Japan Inc. Now, Asgent announces the addition of the “(ISC)2 CISSP 10 Domain Review Seminar”, which will enrich it’s training course lineup.
Also, because a large portion of training courses such as the “Information Security Management System Adjudicator/BS7799 Lead Auditor Course” etc. are recognized as specified courses for the CPE*2 Official Program for CISSP applicants, security professionals who already possess CISSP certification can maintain their certificate by taking these courses.
■ (ISC)2

■ CISSP
