Asgent Announces Multi Domain Support Functionality for Antispam Security Appliance “PineApp Mail-SeCure”

Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in security solutions, today announces the release of an upgrade and new multi domain support for “PineApp Mail-SeCure” , an antispam security appliance developed by PineApp Ltd. (Israel: CEO Hezi Erez).

■ Background

With spam mail volume increasing day by day, it is essential for all organizations, regardless of their size, to implement some form of antispam solution. However, small organizations using e-mail hosting services will often face the problems of neither having the available budget to deploy a POP-3 specific antispam solution, nor the manpower to manage such a solution.

On the other hand, service providers who may wish to provide antispam services to such small organizations as customers face two major problems due to the high cost of existing antispam solutions with multi domain support: (1) it is difficult for these providers to make large investments in the current economic climate, and (2) it is difficult to provide services at a sufficiently low cost level that small organizations would take an interest.

■ Low cost alternative for service providers

From the start of sales in Japan, “PineApp Mail-SeCure” has received critical acclaim for real-time spam detection, which does not rely on language or e-mail format. The latest update provides support for multi domain management, with the ability to create and manage spam filtering rules by domain. It is also possible to create administrators for each individual domain and provide the ability to manage each of their own domains, reducing the burden on the super admin within the service provider.

Deploying PineApp Mail-SeCure also allows service providers to compress costs by up to 82% (^*1) compared with competing products, operate at a low cost ratio and provide services to customers at a significantly reduced price level.

• Multi Domain Support
  Spam filtering rules can be created and managed by domain. Also, administrators designated per domain can create spam filtering rules, create reports, and manage e-mail logs for the appropriate domain.
• syslog Support
  Mail-SeCure logs can be exported via syslog to an external server, allowing for long term log storage.
• Director - Scanner Mode
  Mail-SeCure units in HA configuration can be set to either Director (dedicated management unit) or Scanner (spam processing unit). All Mail-SeCure logs and quarantined e-mail is collected in the Director unit, allowing for centralized management of the Mail-SeCure environment.
