(President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, announces the start of volume license sales for the popular “ShadowProtect” lineup of image-based system backup software, along with a additional limited-time campaign.

Data backup in corporate environments is essential, and so it is not uncommon for information system departments to make bulk purchases of backup software that will be used company-wide. There are also many companies implementing backup solutions in individual client PCs, alongside traditional backup targets such as file servers etc. However, purchasing large numbers of separate software packages results in a large number of licenses and media that must be managed.
There are now an increasing number of cases where companies purchase “ShadowProtect” for company-wide use, resulting in increased demand for a software license to allow the administrator to manage users more effectively.

With these needs in mind, Asgent announces the introduction of a volume license program for ShadowProtect, whereby 1 license key and media pack is provided along with multiple user licenses. This volume license program enables the company to purchases large numbers of user licenses, at up to 80% off list price per license, without the administrator having to manage large numbers of media or individual licenses.
The Server Edition volume license starts at 20 licenses and the Desktop Edition starts at 100 licenses.

Product Outline:

ShadowProtect is an image-based backup software solution that creates a backup of the entire system, including the OS, applications, data etc. The image backup engine transfers and saves disk data in the original bit-string format rather than as individual files, so it is possible to recover a system quickly and reliably simply by restoring the disk to its original state. It is also possible to restore a system to different hardware models, virtual environments, from a physical server to a virtual server (P2V) and between virtual servers (V2V), as well as from a virtual server to a physical server (V2P).
