Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in providing security solution-focused virtualization, operations management and acceleration solutions, announces an agreement with Solace Systems (President & C.E.O:Craig Betts, located in Ontario, Canada), a rapidly growing leader in the messaging market, to accelerate the sales of Solace Message Router in Japan.
Currently, securities and FX trading systems along with market reporting systems are constructed upon complex and advanced networks consisting of dozens or hundreds of servers with middleware installed upon them, working in tandem with multiple subsystems and other systems to process information instantaneously and accurately. However, systems departments are faced with the need to process ever-increasing amounts of information without any loss of accuracy while reducing costs in order to win out against competition. With this background in mind, Asgent announces the signing in July 2010 of a distribution agreement with Solace Systems, a global leader in messaging acceleration and operations management solutions.
Solace Message Router has been adopted as a platform to support mission critical systems for a wide range of customers, such as messaging systems for a number of leading global financial institutions, next generation FX trading systems, order matching systems for exchanges and liquidity providers, information delivery vendors and government agencies. Several Japanese domestic customers have also begun deployment into production environments.
In addition, Proof of Concept has already been performed by multiple Japanese end users, with Asgent and Solace expecting to accelerate sales of the Solace Message Router and deploy the system in several enterprise systems between 2011 and the beginning of 2012.
“Solace products have been selected by leading global banks and exchanges, as well as financial service firms that provide high speed and high frequency quality services. This trend, originating in Europe and North America, has already brought rapid changes to requirements for the messaging middle market in Japan and the Asia Pacific region in general. In order to provide better products and services to meet the increasing market demands, Solace is moving forward to strengthen our regional sales and support. I believe that the distributor agreement with Asgent will enable us to accelerate and expand business in Japan by creating a more robust high-level sales and support structure”, said Kent Nash, Solace Systems Asia Pacific Regional Vice President.
Hitachi Electronics Services Co, Ltd. (President & C.E.O: Tsugio Momose, located in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo) will handle system development for Proof of Concept and delivery into enterprise networks. “Hitachi Electronics Services already has domestic financial market customers using Solace Message Router. We will strengthen cooperation Solace Systems and Asgent to promote development of this product in not only financial markets, but all markets”, said Shinji Ishizuka, Multi-vendor Services/Alliance Business Department Head, Service Operations Division, Hitachi Electronics Services.
