Asgent is awarded “Distributor of the Year 2010” by Check Point

Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions, was awarded “Distributor of the Year 2010” by Check Point Software Technologies (Japan) Ltd. (President: Ken Fujioka, located in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) at the Check Point Partner Forum held on July 14.

Asgent was awarded the “Distributor of the Year 2010” by having the highest sales for 2010. This award follows the “Distributor Award 2008” and “Most Outstanding Partner” (2009) awards, and is the 8th time Asgent has received an award from Check Point.

Check Point provides many solutions to the market designed to fit customer needs, such as the next generation firewall “Check Point R75”, which provides a safe working environment for mobile device users, including those with smart phones, as well as “Check Point Abra”, a USB device that includes VPN access functionality and a virtual Windows desktop environment. In June 2011, Check Point was awarded the “Network Security Vendor of the Year” (*1) by Frost & Sullivan, in honor of strong leadership over many years in the security market.

From inception, Asgent has focused on Check Points advanced technology and distributed Check Point products. Also, Asgent has worked to provide enhanced sales and support, from sales and technical training for partners to providing 24/7 onsite maintenance support. Asgent will continue to strengthen sales activities while providing many varied services including consulting and integration services, based on the technical knowledge, sales channels and knowhow gained from many years selling and supporting Check Point products.
