SecureSoft and Asgent Announce Collaboration to Provide IPS Operations Monitoring Service

SecureSoft, Inc. (President & CEO: Seung-Uk Kang, located in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and Asgent, Inc. (President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), announce they will collaborate to provide the SecureSoft Sniper IPS operations monitoring service, with a goal to improve defenses against ever increasing cyber-attacks.

The intrusion prevention system “SecureSoft Sniper IPS” provided by SecureSoft boasts the largest market share within the IPS market. The product has found used among many organizations, including public systems, due to the ease of use of the Japanese UI and the fact that as an appliance it provides high detection rates with low degradation in performance.

Asgent, on the other hand, currently provides the “SecurityPlus Managed Security Service”, a security service that combines Asgents detailed security knowhow. The “SecurityPlus Managed Security Service” provides 24/365 operational monitoring by specialist analysts for customers’ security devices as well as correlational analysis of security incidents, detailed explanation of the event and proposals for security countermeasures. By deploying this service, the end user can perform security operations as though they had a specialist security administrator on staff.

As part of this collaborative relationship, the “SecureSoft Sniper IPS” has been added to the list of devices supported by the “SecurityPlus Managed Security Service”. By providing the “SecurityPlus Managed Security Service” to “SecureSoft Sniper IPS” end users, these users can receive 24/365 monitoring support by Asgent specialist analysts and operational knowhow backed by the latest cyber security information and vast experience, as a service. Also, Asgent is able to make proposals for “SecureSoft Sniper IPS” to customers of its consulting services who are determined to require an IPS product.

In the future, Asgent and SecureSoft plan on performing various collaborative promotions in the market.

【SecurityPlus Managed Security Service】

This service provides 24/365 operational analysis by Asgent monitoring center analysts on end user security devices along with correlational analysis of security incidents, detailed explanation of events and proposals of security countermeasures. Security configurations based on hearing sheets that take the end user environment from a performance and security viewpoint into account are applied to the monitoring device. In addition, the end users’ security situation is periodically diagnosed and a diagnostic report with recommended security measures is provided.
