Asgent´s Connected Car Security Partner Karamba Receives the " Best Cybersecurity Product" Award Two Years Running

  Asgent, Inc. (JASDAQ: 4288, President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a pioneer in network security and operations management solutions,announces that its connected car security partner Karamba Security (CEO & Co-founder: Ami Dotan, located in Israel) received the Best Auto Cybersecurity Product award^※1 at TU-Automotive Detroit. This is Karamba´s second time receiving the award, having first received it last year.

  Karamba received the award this time around for their automotive authentication solution "SafeCAN". "SafeCAN" was developed to answer the needs of automotive makers who need to authenticate in-car communications, by protected the vehicle from malicious messages sent from unauthorized Electronic Control Units (ECU). The system can be deployed in a vehicles already saturated CAN network without any overhead, and by providing secure in-car communications and authorized OTA updates, ensures the safety of the car. Last year, "Carwall", which both seamlessly strengthens vehicle systems and prevents execution of exploits by hackers with zero false positives, received the same award.
