September 4, 2024
Asgent, Inc.
(TSE Standard ・Code No. 4288)
Asgent, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto), a provider of security and operation management solutions, has added the container platrorms “Amazon EKS” ※1 to the list of container assets under its security operation and monitoring service " Security Plus Managed Security Services for Sysdig SaaS" ("MSS for Sysdig SaaS").
[ MSS for Sysdig SaaS ]
Asgent launched MSS for Sysdig SaaS in April 2024 to address the growing security risks associated with the increase and growth of container usage※2 . MSS for Sysdig SaaS allows SOC analysts to analyze end-user Sysdig Secure logs collected for SOC analysts analyze the collected end-user Sysdig Secure logs in detail. By using MSS for Sysdig SaaS, end-users are notified of incidents (e.g., command execution, privilege escalation, viewing or modification of confidential files, and suspicious connections to the outside world) that the analysts determine require action. By using MSS for Sysdig SaaS, end-users have access to Asgent's "eyes of security experts" and can take advantage of Sysdig's container security capabilities to achieve a high level of security measures. End-users can focus on their core business with confidence.
[Service Expansion to the Amazon EKS environment]
At its initial launch, MSS for Sysdig SaaS was designed exclusively to monitor containers in the Amazon ECS※3 environment. Amazon ECS is based on original AWS software and is the best first step in low-cost container utilization. Amazon ECS is based on original AWS software and is ideal for building simple environments with ease. Amazon EKS, on the other hand, is based on Kubernetes, an open source software that is being developed by developers around the world, which is very feature-rich and updated every three months. Consequently, Amazon EKS is well-suited for building complex environments that requires extensive manual configuration, and it is often selected. Amazon EKS is often the choice when features such as load balancing and resource management are needed for multi-host container operations. For this reason, many customers have asked for support for Kubernetes environments as well, and Amazon EKS environments have been newly added to the MSS for Sysdig SaaS analysis target. In the future, Asgent plans to include Kubernetes environments on Azure and Google Cloud in the MSS for Sysdig SaaS analysis.
