Asgent Launches Cloud Network IPS Monitoring Service
~ Trend Micro’s C1NS Added to the Monitoring Scope of Security Plus Managed Security Services~

  Asgent, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Takahiro Sugimoto), a company primarily engaged in providing security solutions, has added Trend Micro's cloud network IPS “Trend Micro Cloud One - Network Security” (C1NS) to the list of devices monitored by its security operation and monitoring service “Security Plus Managed Security Service”.

Asgent's Security Plus Managed Security Service is a 24/7/365 service in which a security monitoring center (SOC) monitors security devices installed on end-user systems, and SOC analysts analyze logs in detail. SOC analysts analyze logs in detail, filter out unnecessary alerts, and notify end users of only those incidents that require action. For particularly important incidents, we will immediately call you to report the incident and provide recommended countermeasures.
The monitoring scope includes not only gateway products such as UTM, but also products that are deemed necessary for monitoring based on market trends.. Recently, in response to the increased security risks associated with the growing use of containers, MSS has started monitoring services for Sysdig Secure, a container security platform.

C1NS is a network security product that detects and blocks attacks that target vulnerabilities in the cloud network path. In addition to the outside-to-inside countermeasure, C1NS can also respond in the unlikely event that an attacker enters the cloud environment and causes unauthorized communication between the inside and outside of the cloud. By implementing vulnerability countermeasures at the network level, it is possible to efficiently strengthen security in cloud environments that include a variety of environments, such as serverless environments and container environments, where it is difficult to deploy security software. Asgent has historically monitored a range of Trend Micro security solutions for MSS, beginning with Deep Security. In recent years, recognizing the shift from tradicional on-premises to cloud environments, Asgent has expanded our monitoring server and endpoint security solutions for cloud computing environments, such as Vision One Endpoint Security (V1ES). By newly including C1NS as a monitoring target for MSS, it will be possible to monitor communications on cloud network paths.
