Background of Adoption: IIJ Secure Endpoint Service
The IIJ Secure Endpoint Service is a cloud-based integrated endpoint security service designed to defend against external threats and prevent internal information leakage.
The service provides comprehensive functionalities including:
- IT Asset Management: For managing terminal assets.
- Anti-Virus: Capable of malware detection and isolation, as well as terminal backup and restoration.
- Browsing Protection: Designed to protect terminals from threats delivered via the browser, such as web access control.
In the face of escalating security damage to cooperate IT systems, the Browsing Protection feature necessitated stronger Web access protection measures than ever before. SecureLayer Browser Extension was selected for the Browsing Protection feature within IIJ Secure due to the following evaluated factors
- Ease of Deployment: It can be easily deployed by simply adding a plugin to existing browsers.
- Diverse Security Capabilities: It offers a wide range of security functions, including browser operation controls, confidential information input restrictions, and the management of password strength.
The adoption allows customers to easily and affordably implement an Enterprise Browser by adding a plugin to their currently used Web browser, minimizing costs and complexity.
